1.Do you have an independent valuation of Seachange Lodge?

An independent valuation of Seachange Lodge was made by an independent registered real estate office and is available for inspection.

2.Is Seachange Lodge on freehold land?

Land in Vanuatu is leasehold land that runs for 75 years. Leases are rolled over, or for a modest fee you can renew the lease early, which would be considered at the point of hand over to the new owners.

3. How do I know there are no encumbrances on the property?

The local bank that deals with the property has stated that the current owners have met all financial requirements and approved the Sponsor a Student program. All legalities will be completed prior to the hand over of the property, just the same as if it was a real estate sale.

4. When will the property be transferred to the new owners?

Once the winner of the Win A Resort Super Draw has been declared and all relevant paper work validated for YouMe Support Foundation, the winner can visit Vanuatu and inspect Seachange Lodge.

As soon as the new owners have passed the Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority approval regime and all legal documentation has been approved by government authorities, hand over will be immediate, through YouMe Support Foundation.

Rick and Wendy will remain as consultants to the business if required, for a period of 6 months, or they will assist in the sale of the prime piece of real estate.

5. Can foreigners own land in Vanuatu and are any visas needed?

Foreigners can own property in Vanuatu as an Investor. Once the winner has been established, the legalities will include applying for an investor permit. After all you have invested $49 to own Seachange Lodge.

However, Seachange Lodge is owned under a Trust. This Trust will be legally transferred to the new owners.

6. Are land values on the rise in Vanuatu?

Vanuatu is one of the fastest growing real estate markets in the South Pacific. Vanuatu also has the only stable economic and political scene in Oceania and is one of the few countries not affected deeply by the world wide financial crisis.

There is no capital gains tax in Vanuatu. Local Investors are enjoing ROI 10% on both private and commercial properties. 1.If we win can our children be educated in Vanuatu?

There are both good French and English primary schools available in Port Vila. Some expat children go out to Australia or New Zealand for high school and higher education if required (just three hours by plane from Vanuatu). Students are also able to complete year 11 and 12 under long distance education from Victoria, Australia - to Australian standards.

2.How large an expat population is there in Vanuatu?

Around 3000. A mixture of Australian, New Zealand, Chinese, Maylasian and many other countries, as well as French. Cuisine in Vanuatu is one of the most exceptional in the South Pacific. The food is organic and the beef surpassed by none.

3. Do I need to speak any languages other than English?

The main languages spoken are English, French and the local Bislama. You can survive on English only, and Bislama is not a hard language to pick up. Sometimes we have guests from New Caledonia, who are predominantly French speaking. Several of the staff of Seachange Lodge speak all three languages.

4. What is the future of tourism in Vanuatu?

Tourism is the top earning and fastest growing sector in the Vanuatu economy. There are strong moves afoot to strengthen it and carry it forward, in spite of the world financial crisis. Friendly people, pristine wildernesses, live volcanoes, all make Vanuatu's tropical islands the 'Must See' adventure travel destination of the South Pacific.

It is estimated that tourism in the South Pacific is estimated to earn $US2billion in the year 2009/2010. This is a very achievable target, having earned $1.5 billion in 2007. Vanuatu is well placed to take its share of the tourist dollar, being the most stable and economical country in the South Pacific, with a vibrant tourism industry. Vanuatu was voted The Happiest Country On Earth, in 2006.

5. How do I know this is not a scam?

You can come and check it all out. If you are not happy with what we have presented as Seachange Lodge and the YouMe Support Foundation, your accommodation will be paid in full for you.

No private individual, or organization may have access to the funds, which are administered by YouMe Suppport Foundation Board of Directors. Local legal and government requirements have been fully complied with and licenses purchased. YouMe Support Foundation is a registered charity in Vanuatu.

The current owners will only receive market value for the property, after the winner has been declared to the Super Draw. Someone will win Seachange Lodge for just Au$49.

6. Where is Vanuatu?

Vanuatu is located in the South Pacific and is agroup of tropical islands, just two and a half hours by plane North East of Brisbane, Australia and a short flight out of Fiji. Vanuatu is the 'Must See' travel adventure destination for All Inclusive Vacations, in the Dream Travel Destination of the world.

7. Won't giving away Seachange Lodge make a lot of money?

Yes it will. That is the point of the whole exercise. To raise money to give non-repayable high school education grants to children who will never have the opportunity to gain a high school education. (nearly 72 million children world-wide do not have access to education - Vanuatu is in that number).

Only market value will be paid to the owners for Seachange Lodge. All money goes to the YouMe Support Foundation bank account. The Sponsor a Student program is intended to expand far beyond the limitations of Vanuatu.

Very little has been allowed for administration costs of YouMe Support Foundation. Apart from that, someone will win Seachange Lodge, a prime piece of real estate, for only Au$49. It is the best investment YOU can make. It's not about money, it's about fulfilling dreams.
